Dwyane Wade is a famous and success basketball player. He is known for his extra ordinary talent in playing basket ball. He became very famous when he started playing as a guard for the Miami Heat, where he has won three NBA Championships in three consecutive years, 2006, 2012 and 2013.

Aside wining NBA Championships, his talent has brought him to the face of many great people and of course he has gain numerous recognition for it.


The famous basketball player was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 17, 1982. He was born into the family of Dwyane Sr and Jolinda Wade. Few years after the birth of Wade his parent separated which led to Wade being rise by his mother along with Wade sister who is named Tragil. During his childhood his family suffer financially which prompt them to live on welfare.

At the age of 8 wade was tricked by his sister Tragil who had told him they were going to watch a movie but instead took him to South Side Neighbourhood to his father. Tragil left Wade with his father and she return to Chicago. All thanks to this move he was able to live a better life from there onward. This move made him leave his crime ridden area where he uses to live with his mother.

After a year Wade father moved his family to live in south Chicago suburb. This new environment introduces Wade to playing basketball outside with his step brothers, friends and father. At as this period his father was coaching part time at a local recreational center.

Soon after moving to Chicago, wade started attending high school. He schooled at Harold L. Richards High School in Oak Lawn. During this period Wade step brother Demetrius have started making name for himself in the world of basketball. After high school Wade move to attending the university of Marquette which is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he was introduced to playing basket ball more. Although due to his low grades he was ineligible to play but his head coach Tom Crean took him on as a partial qualifier, which meant that although Wade had to sit out the 2000-01 season, he was still allowed to attend school and practice with the team. Due to his great skills soon Wade emerged his sophomore year with an average of 17.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.


Wade was previously married to his high school girlfriend Siohvaughn Funches. The duo together had two kid named Zaire born 2001 and Zion born in the year 2007. The duo had a quite rough relationship after the birth of Zion which cause them to divorce in the year 2007. After their divorce Wade fought for the custody of his children Zion and Ziare and he was granted their full custody in the year 2011.

Dwayne and Gab Union who is an American born actress, writer, producer and activity met while they were co hosting a sponsored super bowl party. During this period Wade was still married to Siohvaughn Funches and wade have just divorce her then husband Chris Howard a year earlier after their five years of being married.

On July 2009 Dwayne and gab union both co host a charity dinner, the summer Groovier, Wade brought union as his guest to the event, this trigger a rumor that duo is probably romantically involved. During this period wade was still at his divorce case. After about a year dating rumor Dwayne and Wade made their first couple red carpet debut on July 2010 at the Summer Groove Charity event.

After about three years of dating Gab Union and Dwayne took some time apart. Gab union confess that they had to go apart due to distance and scheduling but few months later the couple were spotted together again at a Miami Heat Event.

On December 2013 wade and union got engaged. Wade proposed to Union who happily announced their engagement on Instagram with an expensive ring which was rumor to cost $1 million. Fast forward to august 20, 2014 the duo tied the knot which included wade two sons and his nephew.

The duo welcomes their first child together on November 7, 2018. The baby which was born through surrogate. The beautiful baby girl was named Kaavia James Union Wade.


Dwyane Wade career started professionally during college when he led Marquette to the school’s first conference USA Championship and had a return to the final four for the first time. He had an averaged of 21.5 points per game, as the team leader scorer.

In the year 2003 NCAA Midwest Regional Final, he recorded the fourth triple double in NCAA tournament history. He had 29 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists against the top seeded Kentucky Wildcats were publicized by the national press. He was then chosen as the MVP of the Midwest Regional Final but he only lasted to the final four, with a 94-61 loss to the Kansas Jayhawks.

After his great success and big recognition wade made a decision to forgo his senior year in school and enter the 2003 NBA draft which was the best decision for him at that period. He was selected by the Miami heat, and he was picked fifth overall. During his first year with heat he was averaged 16.2 points, 4.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game and was a unanimous selection to the 2004 NBA All Rookie team. After Shaquille O’Neal was traded to the heat, Wade’s numbers increased further with a new average of 24.1 points and 6.8 assists per game.

In 2006 wade made an impressive performances during the NBA  finals against the Dallas Mavericks. During the third game of the finals, he scored 42 points and made 13 rebounds, helping the Heat defeat the Mavericks for a close 98-96 win. His 36 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in the sixth game earn him the honor of the NBA finals MVP. In 2008 Wade emerged for another strong season which was his best season ever with the heat. Averaging 30.2 points per game and he earned his first NBA scoring title.

In the year 2010 wade was re sign to Heat, where he joins the new teammate Chris Bosh and LeBron James. The trio became undefeated during the 2010-11 season, and although the Miami heat returned to the NBA finals again, the team lost in six games to the Dallas Mavericks.

Heat return to the finals again in 2012 with a victory, the won over the Oklahoma City Thunder, 121-106, in the fifth game of the series which was wade second NBA championship win. In 2013 he returns to the finals against San Antonio Spurs, the heat took the title which gave Wade his third NBA Championship win. In 2014 the Heat met the Spurs for a rematch in the NBA finals but this time around Spurs took the crown and won over The Heat.

  1. Wade was named to the NBA All Rookie First Team in 2014 and was named the 2006 NBA finals MVP and the 2010 NBA All star game MVP.
